Located at the corner of Helmcken Road and Burnside Road West in the ‘Northern Gateway’ area of the Town of View Royal, Eagles Nest development site is envisioned to offer new living options in a growing and vibrant neighbourhood setting.

Within walking distance of amenities, shops, and services at Eagle Creek Village, as well as the Regional Employment Centre of Victoria General Hospital, Eagles Nest is well suited to multiple-residential development.  With a total of 247 proposed units, including one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and family-friendly three-bedroom suites, Eagles Nest will create much needed new housing in just the right place.

Our rezoning proposal is consistent with the approved Official Community Plan (OCP).  The application reflects a balancing of policy directions, site analysis, market conditions, and community input received over a two-year process, culminating in a refined site plan that was submitted for rezoning in January 2020.

Eagles Nest Proposal

The new Eagles Nest Proposal provides 247 units within a park-like setting and consists of one, two, and three-bedroom residences. All vehicle parking is underground and provides for only one access off of Burnside Rd. Automobile and bicycle parking will be located underground where electrical charging will be available.

The proposal has more green space than any development in the area and will also offer a park-like plaza on the corner for pedestrians as well as a bicycle repair station for cyclists.

The location is not only easy walking distance for everyday needs such as groceries and medical supplies but also provides the ability for staff of Eagle Creek Village Shopping Center and the Victoria General Hospital to walk to and from work.

We are providing a pull-off and shelter for BC Transit at our front door which will assist in the orderly movement of vehicles along Helmcken Road. The BC Transit Bus Interchange is two blocks away and provides public transportation to any destination.

The Galloping Goose Trail, which is less than two blocks away, provides convenient bicycle access to downtown.
